I'm trying to gain a deeper technical and functional understanding of the real differences between UBL and Factur-X for e-invoicing compliance, especially in the context of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
1. Print Mechanism
Factur-X is a hybrid format: a single PDF file with an embedded XML file , UBL produces only an XML file. In any implementations, you can enable an "e-invoice attachment" to generate PDF alongside the XML as separate files when posting.
Question: If UBL can deliver both a PDF and an XML together via attachments, is the single hybrid PDF/A-3 vs. two separate files the only functional difference between the two? Or are there significant business rule differences ?
2. Factur-X in Dynamics 365 F&O
While investigating implementation options, I couldn't locate a standard Factur-X configuration inside Dataverse repositories.
Question: Is Factur-X requires third-party tools ISV solutions or custom ER ?
I'd appreciate insights from anyone who has implemented Factur-X
