Hello experts,

If I would like to backup the F&O sandbox environment, and restore this backup to UDE. Does it include the F&O database, or just the dataverse backup only?

Hi LB.

If you copy the database ~~backup and restore~~ of the environment in PPAC, it includes everything including the F&O database. However, there are some considerations when doing this, see this community post.

Hi LB Developer,

A similar question was asked 1 or 2 days ago. Anton shared the link to that post where we both contributed.

Note that a backup or copy includes both the databases, but also all installed applications from that environment.

But it looks like I cannot restore environment A's backup to environment B, it can be only through copied between environments.

Hi LB Developer,

You can restore a backup of environment A to environment B in case it meets certain conditions:

You should have at least 1GB database storage available

Environment type should be the same (managed or regular environment)

Source and target environment should have Dataverse storage enabled

The environments should be running in the same region

In case you used a customer managed key, the target also needs it
