Hi all, since upgrading to version 40, we have noticed a considerable increase in the time taken to generate the Tax Payment Report (Form name: TaxReportVoucher, Button: TaxReportSelect). Normally the duration was 3-4 hours, but we are now encountering durations of 25h that end in an error due to this long wait. We have been investigating the TaxReportingDP class and we have seen that it uses the TaxTrans table, which has many records, but we understand that if it worked correctly before, it should work now, which is not the case.

    The solution is to raise a ticket with as much details as possible; Mentioning that the report is way faster in one environment with the same data and application version. 
    Unless you have customized this report or the backing tables, then it's the best solution.

    We sometimes notice slowness when entering certain forms, but this is a one-off issue. Mainly we have this problem when generating the tax report.

    Okay, that really smells like some wrong execution plans...
    Is this the only thing that is slow in your F&O after the update?

    Hi again, we tried in another environment (UAT2) and we have noticed a reduction in time, so we found large time differences between environments (UAT and UAT2).

    Nothing really comes to mind and I haven't faced it before, sorry. I cannot see any issue in the issue search.
    I'd try to raise a ticket to Microsoft, and have engineering look at it.
     
    Alternatively, you could load a BACPAC into a development machine and have a look at slow queries.

    Yes, we tried in other environment (UAT) and we have the same problem (UAT has a recent copy from production).

    For me it sounds like a database issue,  like a wrong execution plan .
    Can you reproduce it in other environments?
