MS Graph or SMTP?

Hello community,
 
since we get a notification from D365 FO about MS Graph and deprecating Exchange Email server, I have a question:
 
do we have necessarily to change to MS Graph or can we use  SMTP ?
 
 
Unfortunately we don't have an infrustructure consultant for D365, and for me this question/notification from D365 is not quite clear.

    I think you can use SMTP, but is recommanded to us MS Graph.

    Hi,
    According to the document description, Microsoft only encourages users to use Microsoft Graph for email integration, but it does not mean that you must switch to Graph. You can still use SMTP for email integration in D365 FO.
