Hi all ,
I'm bit confused with RSAT vs PerfSDK , what are the use cases and what is the difference ?
cant we use RSAT to monitor performance and vice versa ?.appreciate if some one can explain .
Cheers,
AxGeek
Hi AXGeek,
No. The names are indicating already the purpose. RSAT is able to run end-to-end scenarios using the web-client to see if everything is working as expected. The PerfSDK can't be used for that purpose. RSAT is e.g. not able to do multi user performance tests which would be required for performance tests.
You can read the documentation for more information:
docs.microsoft.com/.../rsat-overview
docs.microsoft.com/.../single-user-test-perf-sdk
In a nutshell, RSAT should be used to run regression tests and functional tests. Not performance tests or unit tests.
PerfSDK should be used for performance tests and unit tests and not functional tests
