    Hi Amith Prasanna,

Customers can still implement AX2012R3 systems but that is not only a question about the availability of licenses but also of costs, availability (e.g. on-prem), etc.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

AX 2012 R3 support has been extended by a couple of years, and license sales are still available. It might change in the near future, since Microsoft is now working on making a D365fO installation on-premise possible second half of this year.

However, as mentioned earlier it might come down to the costs if the Azure Stack / private cloud deployment would require more demanding hardware resources and software expertise, the 2012 license will potentially be still be made available most likely for customers on a tighter budget due to the easier maintenance requirements of the older version based on their demands.

Its still in the price list and I expect it to be there for some time.

There is no information yet on pricing/licensing/hardware etc. for on premises DMO365.

I would expect that as with Ax 2009 there will come a time of a transition when no new sales of Ax 2012 R3 will be allowed but that existing Ax 2012 customers can continue to add licences.

However, I think we are  at least another year or two away  from such a transition.
