Reference "sent" table in report section display method

Hi,

I have a report with a Section Group referencing a table that is not in the report's data source. This Section/Group is being executed in the report's fetch method using element.send(buffer).

I can reference the table from report fields without any problems, but how do I reference that table buffer from a display method created in the report section?

    I guess that if the buffer is already available in the fetch-method, it would be a matter of scope.
    If buffer is locally declared in the fetch-method the display method can not access it.
    So IMHO you could try declaring buffer in class-declaration instead of in the fetch-method effectively making the buffer globally declared in the class.
    This way the display-method created in the report section should be able to access it.

    Thanks. That's what I had done as a workaround, but it seems odd that it's not somehow available in code already. Oh well.
