Hello everyone :)
I would like to understand two things:
a) Does the system at the beginning of the year updates the field Start Date with the current year?
b) How the field Fiscal Period of type option set works? Does it contain some kind of intelligence and understands the date's range for each quarter? example: Quarter 1 goes from 1 January to 31 March ...
The reason why I am asking it is because I configured the Fiscal Year settings with the settings above, and I configured a view that would only return me targets where the quarter (please note that I created a configuration table to test the range dates) where the Dates would be "This Fiscal Period"
And this works after creating and testing several records! But it is very intrigging and I would like to understand the mechanism behind the Fiscal Period.

Yes.
b) How the field Fiscal Period of type option set works?
In the Fiscal Period Template drop-down list, select how your fiscal year is divided(Annually, Semiannually, Quarterly, Monthly, 4-Week Period)
If you select Quarterly, it will automatically determine which quarter you belong to based on your current date.
