How to remove a queue item after remove ribbon button no longer available

Hi,

We are using v9. Since the Remove ribbon button is no longer available when a queue item is selected, how would you suggest to remove an item from queue without deleting the underlying record? Pick or Route button plus remove option is not a good approach because we simply want to remove it. Hope this question makes sense. Thanks.
