    Hi,

    We can help.

What exactly you are facing the issue with?

Are you trying to import exchange rate? or you already have exchange rates setup?

    Hey,

I have exchange rates set up already. I want to extract exchange rates valid during SO creation date.

    Thanks,

    Anusha

    Hi Anusha,

If you import the exchange rates on a daily basis then you can achieve what you are looking for.

There are standard exchange rate providers available in AX2012 that you can use for importing exchange rates (Ex: ECB).

If those exchange rate providers don't provide all currency pairs you are looking for then a new exchange rate provider needs to be created (developed).

This creation is described here in this MS whitepaper: docs.microsoft.com/.../creating-exchange-rate-providers-for-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

For SO creation date, system will look for the date of SO date and if not setup for the same date, it will look for the latest exchange date for the pair.

You can refer the document which was shared by Dr. Ludwig

    Thank you both.

I have exchange rates set up for every quarter. I only want to extract the data for that particular quarter  the SO creation date falls into.

    Hi,

Not sure if I understood it correctly.

You want to extract the exchange rates for the Quarter? if this is the case, you can use the  Data management framework and export from there by using the "Exchange rate currency pair" and "exchange rates"

or if I am missing something?

If so, you may share one example.

    Hi Anusha 15,

If you have quarterly exchange rates available then your SO should automatically take the exchange rate from the exchange rate table.

    Does this not work?

Can you share an example with some screenprints?

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig
