Impact of deleting Sales Parm data using Sales update history cleanup

We need to purge data from SalesParmLine table due to its large size. There are about more than 12 million rows in SalesParmLine table. We will be using the Sales update history cleanup batch job for purging. I have reviewed the code in the job which is deleting data from following tables till the cleanup date:

SalesParmTable

SalesParmUpdate

SalesParmSubTable

SalesParmLine

SalesParmSubLine

Now just need to confirm two things here:

1. What will be the impact of it on the references the sys layer classes are using to create invoices?

2. Does it have any impact on the reports that are using SalesParmLine table (I am aware of Customized reports but need to confirm about default reports)?

Those tables are used in the SalesEditLines form to create Sales confirmation, packing slip, and invoice journals.  Once those journals are created, the SalesParm tables are no longer needed, except for whatever research value they may provide later.

I have a batch process that purges data from SalesParmTable and PurchParmTable every week and I have never had any problem. Regarding your first question, the standard process deletes the register with status executed (or executed and error), so it won't have any impact.

Thanks Brandon and Mariano, does it create any problem if we cancel or correct the Packing slip if not invoiced yet ?

    yes you can but..

there are bugs in the cleanup in some ax versions.

how are return item generated? that also reuse the salesParm stuf.

in general sales orders that are 100% invoiced and will not get return items, those can be deleted
