Download Email from Dynamics in .eml format

Hi,

Is there any way to download an email from CRM in .eml format (similar to Outlook)? Can we achieve this functionality through customization?

Based on another question in the community, we can do it using Power Automate, but that only works for the connection we have used in CRM. However, I need to download any email that is shown in Dynamics in .eml format. Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick reply Dengliang Li .

I have tried all the steps mentioned in the other thread, but the email is not opening correctly on sending the resultant file via email. I also have a requirement of adding the attachments in the eml file only. Can you suggest anything for this.

Also I need to provide this option as a ribbon in the email records to export.

Hi,

In this thread, a user provided a solution on how to export emails as .eml files using Power Automate Flow.

Export Dynamics 365 emails out as EML files using Flow/Power Automate

I modified it to export all emails as EML files.

Expression: formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?['createdon'],'ddd dd MMM, yyyy hh:mm')
