Customer Journey - Trigger E-mail For External Website Visit

Hi everyone,

Is there any way I can configure my company's e-commerce site to be a part of the customer journey?

Example: Known contacts visited webpage X in the e-commerce site, and they receive e-mail Y based on the configuration in the customer journey?

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi Partner,

You could embed marketing form on your external page.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/embed-forms

The automatically generated script will contain a web tracking script to track visiting records of contacts.

Then your can create an interaction(Form Visited) based segment to query contacts who visited your website during a period, and send marketing email to members of segment via customer journey.

    Hi Clofly,

    Thank you for your reply!

Just wanted to ask, can the external website (my company's website) be integrated into Dynamics 365 customer journey without the use of marketing form? I am uncertain about configuring Dynamics 365 to respond (send an e-mail, for example) to contacts who visited selected web pages without making them submitting/visiting form.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Cal

    Hi Cal,

Unfortunately, tracking external website without marketing form and using the website in customer journey is not supported at present.

Because Dynamics 365 can only track customer activities on external website with script from marketing form.

(Maybe you could hide form with custom CSS.)

    Regards,

    Clofly
