Dynamics Utilities Update Conversion Error

I am running into a conversion error during company upgrade. Basically I am installing the year end update for Dynamics GP 2015

The error is on 2 tables

1/ Payroll ESS w4 History

2/ Payroll Tax Information Master

Clicking on error details - Conversion process encountered an error and the temporary table did not get removed (recommended action remove table at the database level)

The first table has no rows but the second table has several hundred records.

I tried the following scripts below without any success - same error

delete DYNAMICS..DU000030 WHERE Status <> 0 and Status <>15

delete dynamics..duLCK

Opened the Dex.ini file and set "Synchronize=TRUE" and saved changes

Reran GP Utilties - same error.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

We had the same error. Restored from backup and then rebuilt tables and stored procedures for related tables. After that ran again and all upgraded without issues. I think the tables are UPR00300 and UPR30604. In our case both these tables were empty prior to rebuilding the tables.

We run into occurrences such as this from time to time doing upgrades. In your case if you do not use the payroll module you would never notice it until you upgrade. I would guess this is not your first upgrade.For whatever reason a tables(s) does not upgrade. The solution is to drop and recreate the table(s), as you discovered. This is another reason to always do a test upgrade first.
