Morning All

I'm hoping someone can help me find where the error I'm getting is coming from and where can i fix it:

SysWorkflow-internalSubmit WorkflowTrackingTable-saveTracking A number sequence for numbering of instances has not been set up in Settings for workflow.

I have created a new basic workflow to track Purchase orders to be approved. However, when I try to run the workflow after I create the PO it fails and returns this error. I have looked at the number sequence process and even created a new one called work_ 3, checked the format made sure it's company-related, but I still get the same error.

Where does one assign the number sequence to the workflow or did I miss a step?

Hi Ramon,

Please try to click the generate button in number sequences form to see if it can generate the related number sequences for workflow.

Hi Mattguo

I did try that. I ran the generate option, and it came back saying the application already had the required number sequences, but when I run the workflow again, I get the error listed. I then refresh and try to re-run the workflow and the error remains. where would one setup the sequence number for the workflow outside of Organisation Admin > Number Sequence process, I checked the workflow but it does not have anywhere to link it .

Hi Ramon,

Could you share the screenshot of the number sequence setup of workflow instance?

I could not find another way to add the workflow number sequence, and it is different from AX.

Can you try to delete it and regenerate a new one?

Cool will do, i did notice that the new one I created does not come up when I select Area lookup. I opened up the newly created sequence number tab and noticed that the ref tab is empty. I linked it to the area, but I can not add a reference to it, the menu is blank.

When i dont use the filter look up , I see both new number sequences I created

There should be two number sequences, one for workflow ID and another for workflow instance. And they Scope parameters is shared.

The error said that workflow instance number sequence doesnot exist.
