Tracking emails in outlook

I have folder level tracking set up in outlook. Is it possible to track all emails in the thread to the same record once the initial tracking is set up? If so, how is that done? It isn't working for me. I can track the original email, the response from outlook can be auto tracked but the response to the response is not auto tracked. Is this possibly because of folder level tracking?
