Question about CTI using CIF v2

I'm investigating the possibility of integrating our PBX (3CX) to Dynamics CE using CIF v2 and have some questions about the documentation.

I am able to create a new channel provider in Unified Interface in step 6 here:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/channel-integration-framework/v2/configure-channel-provider-app-profile-manager

My question involves the Channel URL in step 7.  See below from documentation.  Where does this URL come from?  The note says "See the JavaScript APIs on how to develop communication widget with Dynamics 365 Channel Integration Framework." but unfortunately this doesn't help me much.   I'm assuming this comes from our PBX provider but I'm unsure what, if any URL can be used for this channel.

Additionally, I am unable to locate the sample softphone integration (SampleInteg.sln) here:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/channel-integration-framework/v2/sample-softphone-integration-v2 and github.com/.../TwilioSampleInteg_version2

I feel like the documentation here is severely lacking and I need some help filling the gaps.

Any assistance or experience anyone is willing to share regarding CTI using CIF 2.0 is greatly appreciated!
