Adding an animated gif into an email - not playing when sent

I've added an animated gif to an email I've designed. In the preview it plays beautifully. But when I send it out, the animation is gone - just showing the first frame. Is there a way to force the animation to play? Do I need to upload the image differently?

Have you tried testing across multiple emails clients? A mix of browser and desktop top.

And are you experiencing the issue on all of them?

Our main audience is using Outlook 365 and it definitely isn't playing there. It plays on the Mac version of Outlook, but the PCs are a problem. I previously used salesforce for email creation, and the gifs played even for the PCs – not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Any and all ideas are very appreciated! Thanks!

I appreciate the link - but my gifs played on the test PCs when I built them in a different app, but not when I build them in Insight. Sorry - I'm sure it's something I'm doing, I'm just not sure what.
