Issue with internal JS (Function.Xrm.Page.getAttribute (VM30 global.ashx:4078))

Hi All,

I facing weird issue that on drop down change event I have some logic and it works randomly. 

However I am able to debug and found that type error comes due to which my logic fails.

TypeError: Cannot read property 'attributes' of null
at Function.Xrm.Page.getAttribute (VM30 global.ashx:4078)


and I found that is an internal CRM js file and I can not modify that for online instance.

in my code the line is  Xrm.Page.getAttribute("casetypecode") on Case form.

Main issue is this works well sometimes & sometimes not.

Kindly share your views.
