How to implement store last value in on existing form (Out of box form) ?

I am following a book where it says to add additional code lines and method. How can I add additional lines of code on out of box form. Else if I write Coc for this form then extension form have its own last values (may be) ?

In Dynamics 365 FO you can add a new logic to existing standard form using COC and Event Handlers, you should create a new class (extension of your form) and add your logic. How to implement store last value in on existing form (Out of box form) ?

You can't add code to standard form. You need to create an extension class and do it there.

It won't create a new "extension form", it'll add logic to the existing form.
