Missing Action Tool Bar pop out on Data Source Screen

Hi All 

I am working with a new trial environment in Customer Insights I imported my first data source.  I am getting ready to import the second, according to the directions, I should be seeing an action toolbar when I click past the data source name.  I am not seeing it.  I have tested this out in two different environments Using both Chrome and Edge.  Has anyone experienced this type of behavior before, if so can you please suggest how to fix it.

    If you can post a screen shot, that would be very helpful.  I'm assuming you're using the Power Query connector right?  So you create the first data source and now you're trying to add another one to it, is that right?  See below -I'm trying to determine which screen isn't showing up

    This  is the post I'm referencing:

    After you select a source you'll see the option to configure it as show in next step:

    now, if you want to add another one you go back to the data table, you'll see three dots next to the source and you can choose Edit.

    I am missing the quick actions tool bar subsequent to the data source name.

    If you created it in the first place then it's likely something else, but I'd make sure you had Admin permissions.  Can you show me the top, do you have the ability to create another source up at the top?  That really looks like a permissions thing but since I'm guessing you created the first one that seems weird.  I'd also try to just do the Ctrl-F5 or clear cookies and settings, log out and log back in.  If not, you can also try to create another data source, call it eCommerce2 and just add it there, more than anything the names are cosmetic in this sense if it's just a trial, just a way to keep things organized.  I've seen a lot of strange behavior in Demos but not this.  Also, just check the environment like the second shot below.  If it'd help you can add me to the instance and I can try to log in if nothing else works:

    I have seen this before and usually it's a timing issue.  It may be that there are downstream processes still running. You may want to try in a new in-Private or Incognito to force the system to ignore the browser cache.  Sometimes you can also simply ctrl-f5 the page to force a refresh.

    HI Bill this is what I am seeing in admin.  I tried the CTRL+F5 still nothing.  I do have the + sign on top of the data sources, and yes I did create the source above.  Do you want me to add you to the environment?

    Hi John -

    I just tried the in private window.  Still the same, no action menu.  ;)  I guess I am just blessed!  LOL

    Can you check the Admin -> System -> Status page and see if anything is still running?  Also, can you provide the instance ID so I can check the backend logs to see if there was an issue?  You can get that from the Admin->System->About.

    Just to be thorough, if you go to the System menu on the right and look at the Status column.  See if you have anything that indicates Queued or Running. If you're walking through the Demo Training, these excel files should process quickly but see if the items are Greyed out.  If you see something with either status (or for some reason Failed), that may be the issue. I know you can't edit when it's processing, but if you've gotten to M3 or ingestion that might be the cause, it doesn't like you making changes while it's running.  However you said that you just had one source so now that I think about it, you wouldn't have anything to merge.  Well, just check do  be sure but TBH, if your'e just getting started, I often just spin up a new environment or go to Environment and Reset the data sources, I realize that's a non-answer but I've had so many headaches with demo environments over the last year, and spinning up a new one is usually quicker than troubleshooting them, esp if you're just at the beginning.

    Thanks for reporting this issue. 

    So neither toolbar menu options of actions behind the ellipsis or hover on the data sources are coming up, correct?

    "+ Add data source" option shows up and you can create data sources but once created and is in refreshing mode, you dont find any menu controls.

    Sorry for this inconvenience and we are looking into this issue if anything could be potentially be broken, will provide an update shortly.

    In the meantime, if you were to edit or refresh or delete or make any changes to the data sources, you can as well do so from the maker portal https://make.powerapps.com > pick the correct environment from the environment picker on top right corner > left nav bar > data > dataflows > select the appropriate dataflow > click on the ellipsis > you will find similar menu controls.
