Released Products v2 Import Error

Hi All,

I'm attempting to do a file import of released products. I'm using the EcoResReleasedProductV2Entity.

I am getting the following error:

Cannot create a record in The additional warehouse management fields that are defined in the product master (WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes). Product: 0000110122.
The record already exists.

I'm attempting to import products as per this post: https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/247517 (first do product, then released product).

The products get imported, but the released products always error out and I get the above error.

The mapping for that entity in my data project is:

Hi Nikola,

Can you tell which exact fields you mapped from the source file for both entitties? Is this a retry where the product did exist before? Can you check if there is already a records in the WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes for the product you are trying to import? Please check it before each step (product, released product). I have used this V2 entity using Flow without this error. It could be caused by a certain combination of fields. Once I know what exactly you have mapped, I can try to reproduce your issue.

Hi Nikola,

Have you tried manually releasing all the products from Products Master and selecting the Entity to be released?

You must update the products table with you product transportation codes first. remember, there is a products V2 also!

I haven't. I am attempting to create an integration where I am using the data project to import new released products and update existing released products every so often. I'm going to do this with Flow. I'm really trying to understand how Products and Released Products work. I haven't done much in AX 2012 and I'm coming straight from AX 2009.

This is what I first imported my items into and that worked. I tried to import my items (from AX 2009) then from Released Products V2 and that's when I got this.

Hi Nikola,

How does your definition in Flow looks like? Are you using values for e.g NMFC code or STCC code?

I haven't designed anything in Flow yet. I extended the released products v2 data entity by adding a new field which mapped to the NMFC code field. I also added a new data source to the WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes table and inner joined with the EcoResProduct table. I am wondering if this is the problem and if this is the data entity won't work with this new field?

Hi Nikola,

The customization might indeed cause this issue. I thought that the WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes table is also global data, so link it to the products entity only; not on the released products.

1. Check if product: 0000110122 already exists in WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes table.

2. Are you writing data into WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes table? if not make datasource WHSEcoResProductTransportationCodes as ReadOnly.

Yes, that was the issue. I noticed that the customizations I made on the Released Products V2 entity were causing that especially when trying to map something that is already in the Products V2 entity, like the NMFC code. I wanted to use the Released Products V2 entity in uploading all of the base product information as well, hence the customization, but that's not how it worked. I first had to import to the products v2 entity and then the rest of the information in released products v2. Thanks all for your help!
