Avoid inserting on stage table - Data import export framework

Hi,

How to avoid some rows inserting on the stage environment?

I am using Excel file as source for DIXF. I am inserting trade agreements. If the product already having some trade agreement then i should not allow the DIXF to insert new trade agreement. So, i plan to add validation or avoid to insert on stage table.

Please explain me to solve this issue.

    I don't believe you can avoid inserting records to the staging table. The way the data is brought in from files is using SSIS and it essentially is doing a bulk copy from my understanding. I believe what you would have to do is add logic to the DIXF class to ensure it doesn't update or add if the item already has some trade agreements. To me it might even be easier to write a job to go through your staging table and then delete the records after import if you don't need them.

    Hi Hariharan,

    Travis is correct. You need to use the staging table. You cannot add validation logic on the step source to staging. You can add logic and additional validations on the DMF helper class like Travis mentioned.
