Why Price group and Line discount group are applied both at the same time ?

Hi All

Please, can I know why Price group and Line discount group are applied both at the same time ?

I'm looking for this design : For a customer customer1, i assigned in his customer card : a Price = Price_XX and Line Discount = LD_XX

For an item : item1 i want to put in in the Price Group Price_XX (with Price 20.00) and in Lin discount group LD_XX (with Discount percent= 1%)

When i make a sales order for the customer1, i see that the price applied is 20.00 and the Discount percent is applied too (with 1%) !

Is there any way to make this setup : When a Price Group is assigned to a customer, and making a sales order (containing an item which figures in Price group abd Line discount group), so no Line discount group must be applied even a Line Discount is assigned to this customer in his card !

Hi JauB,

This is not possible without a customization. It would be possible to set customer specific prices and discounts as a workaround. Possibly this will too much setup and maintenance for you. Then a customization would make sense.
