What to use to generate a permission error if a user that is not part of the Compliance Team closes a specific task that has a specific Subject.

Hello Community,

I'm struggling to identify what to use for the following scenario:

Only Users that are part of the Compliance Team can close Tasks with the Subject ''XX''. If a Non-Compliance user Closes the XX Task, an error should pop up not allowing the user to close this task.

Any thoughts?

thank you!

    Hi lkay,

You can use ribbon workbench to customize buttons to show or hide them depending on the user's security role.

Develop 1 Ltd | Ribbon Workbench for Dynamics 365 & Dynamics CRM

1.Import the downloaded file as a solution

2.Create a solution with only the task table (without any data)

3.Open the solution in the advanced settings, Click the ribbon workbench button to open the solution you just created

4.Customize the button by referring to the actions in the link: https://d365demystified.com/2021/02/14/show-custom-ribbon-button-based-on-security-role-of-the-logged-in-user-in-dynamics-365-ribbon-workbench-in-xrmtoolbox/
