Portal Forms

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello and Good day!

I am trying to customize our Dynamics 365 Portal. I created a new Main Form inside the Lead entity. However, I was not able to make the form show up in the Portal. I found out that the Form is in Unmanaged state...How do I make the form Managed?

Also, do you have detailed instructions on how I could make a custom form show up in the portal? Thank you in advance.

Sorry but I am unable to understand what you are after? But I am sure if you follow the steps mentioned in the blog, you will know the basics of portal and later can change it as per your requirement. If you just want to create a different lead form to show it in portal then the step is already their in the blog (the part where we doa save as of "web form" form.

ahhh okay okay...So this is what I am currently doing, I created a form inside the Lead entity...so this form serves as some sort of Application Form...

I would like this application form to show up inside the Portal...Please do note that I already used the default Web Form for Inquiries...So the application form is inside another page...But I was not able to produce the form inside the new page.

Why do you want o do that? Ain't you configuring portal lead form? That doesn't require the component as managed? As mentioned above for this task, you don't need to worry about unmanaged or managed. Thats a complete different topic.

This is expected. The componenets are created as unmanaged. you then can export them out as managed if you wish. Don't worry about this.

Why is it that everytime I try to create a new form, the State is Unmanaged?
