Hi,

I need one shared folder location on D365 PROD environment for auto save file (.xlsx) into it and access that file through X++ code.

Below are my requirements:

1. All users can save their files in single shared folder.

2. X++ code can access that shared folder files.

Note: All above activity need to be done on D365 PROD environment.

Regards,

Kumar Rohit

yes, I have tried searching on net for hint. but didn't get any correct output.

Contacted to Microsoft too for this solution but didn't get solution.

As you suggested to use LogicApps. Okay I am working on it. and it seems FTP files by using Azure Logic Apps will match our requirement.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/connectors/connectors-create-api-ftp

    Thank you

You can do it automatically with LogicApps. Your requirement are exactly the kind of requirements that integration platforms are used for.

But you can also google for how to access OneDrive from D365FO if you insist on developing it yourself.

It's just that somebody already has solved a lot of things for you if you use an existing solution instead of developing your own.

    Hi Nikolaos,

We have 2 business requirements , which need Cloud storage facility:

    1. we are creating one report and need one shared location (all different users will perform to generate report) to save and will send automatically to the 3rd party server.

    2. We have to import approx 1 lac records through excel into D365 table automatically.

Note: we have to do above requirements automatically then i need X++ code to accomplish the same.

Client don't want to do it manually.

    Regards,

    Kumar Rohit

Flow is actually built on top of LogicApps. LogicApps is an enterprise grade integration platform. Flow is a self service workflow creation tool.

Why do you need x++ code to access it? What is the actual business requirement?

But definetely you can write x++ code that reads from OneDrive folder. The question is, should you do it or use the out of the box features and existing tools such as Logic Apps (or Flow).

    Thanks Nikolaos,

LogicApps: As per my understanding It is something like Ms Flow !!! I used Ms Flow in past for creating records in D365 tables when user insert any record in Sharepoint.

But My requirement is to save xlsx file into single shared location and need to access that location file through X++ code.

In this case we can easily save files to sharepoint or one drive by Sign in excel with License credential.

I need x++ code to access that file stored in sharepoint or onedrive.

If you have any blog or links which can help me to accomplish this.

    please share...

    Hi Kumar,

On the production environment itself, you cannot create folders. Nikolaos provided some options. You can also consider using Azure storage, but this is less user friendly for end users.

You can use an integration platform such as LogicApps to scan a OneDrive folder, Sharepoint folder or network share (with On-premises data gateway) and send it to D365FO.
