Synchronize database not completing on code upgrade checklist for in-place

Hello Experts,

I am working on AX 2012 to AX 2012 R3 upgrade.

I am stuck with the synchronize database on code upgrade checklist for in place

It is giving me errors for the view that are disabled due to configuration key. For that We have load the license file again and it resolved. No error now. It don’t throw any error on synchronize database.

Then once again from the checklist step I click on synchronize database and It doesn’t throw any error or any successful message and even it is not tick as completed

Pl. give your suggestions. should i go further with skipping this step?

Hi Darshan,

You cannot skip this. You need to find out why the sync is not completed correctly. Did you retry the sync from the checklist after loading the license?

After to upload the license file restart the AOS service and look at the Event Viewer during the synchronize proccess.

Hi Andre and Silva,

when i loaded license file it started sync auto. once complete, i restart AOS and once again i sync it from checklist.

though it is not showing as complete. i reviewed the event viewer log are as below:

Object Server 01: Syncing tables finished

Object Server 01: Syncing views finished

Object Server 01: Show Sync Logging results ended

Object Server 01: Sync Logging Phase finished

Object Server 01: Syncing tables finished

Object Server 01: Syncing views finished

Object Server 01: Sync Execution Phase finished

Object Server 01: Sync index cleanup started

Object Server 01: Sync index cleanup finished

Object Server 01: Sync finished

Pl. give you suggestion

i tried to synchronize from AOT and it seems it's stopping somewhere. showing progress bar for synchronization and disappear after few minutes though its showing 25 minutes to go..

have a look at select * from SQLSYNCINFO using SSMS, if you can find anything doubtful there

After a long digging I found the solution on Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS).

Ultimately it’s a issue in AX 2012 R3 registered on LCS as synchronize database cannot completed on code upgrade checklist in place.

downloaded the hotfix and installed. it resolves my issue.
