
In standard D365 F&O workflow configuration, there is no native recurring reminder notification setup to remind the same approver after the due date.
However, in workflow approval steps, we can configure a Time limit. If the approver does not act within that time, the work item becomes overdue. We can then configure Escalation on the approval step, so the overdue work item is automatically assigned to another user, workflow user, or hierarchy user.
Workflow editor > Select approval step > Properties > Assignment > Time limit, then configure Escalation > enable escalation path.
