common option set for industrycode

Hi


I would like to have a common option set for the industrycode fields so that the same options for industry type are available to leads, opportunities and accounts.

I can't seem to change the industrycode field to use an existing option set.

Do I have to create an option set, then create a new field for industry type using the newly created option set?  I really hope not!

    Basically you have to create Global option set & reuse in multiple entities, but still you have to create individual picklist attribute in each entity though you can choose that you want to use the existing picklist in customizations.

    Hi,

    As suggested you can use global optionset to standardise your industrycodes, which can inherited by the individual local option set for the lead, opportunity and account. You can add/remove from the single global option set and local option set will have automatically those changes.
