Configuring connection for CRM on-premise on social engagement

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

How do you configure connection for an on-premise deployment on the social engagement connection setting. Where do you derive the client ID reuired in that configuration?

    Hi Cey,

Once you configure MSE on the CRM side (following the instructions already given https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn659847.aspx)  you also need to add it in the MSE application itself.

    In MSE, go to

Settings --> Connections --> Add connection

From there you can complete the link to CRM so you can begin linking posts to CRM.

    Hope this helps!

    Lindsey

Thank you.Is that all that is needed for me to be able to link a social activity to crm? I have tried to do so from social engagement but i do not see the option or does it only work for CRM online?

    Hi cey

As i know you need to have office 365 license first

    technet.microsoft.com/.../dn659847.aspx

Then you can do the integration.

    Thanks
