Slow Performance on Mac with Dynamics 365

Hi all,

we have a potential customer who is interested in a CRM software.

(Not necessarily Dynamics CRM)

The main part of the employees works with a Mac as OS.

We provided the customer with a trial of Dynamcis 365 and

the feedback is that the perfomance is very bad/slow in Dynamics 365, when using a Mac.

Other CRM systems like Salesforce work quite fine.

Is this a known issues that can occur on Mac's?

Is there anything I can suggest that they can attempt to improve the performance?

There isn't a lot of time to analyze or to open a case for this,

because the decision for a new CRM is about to happen.

I would be glad for any kind of advice.

Thanks.

    Hi,

It could be you are located on a different region than your Dynamics instance.

Meanwhile, you can check diagnostics here and send it to your network administrator - d365demystified.com/.../run-dynamics-365-diagnostics-to-check-network-latency

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

as I mentioned they have no problems using other CRM-Systems like Salesforce.

So points 1-2 I wouldn't be able to argue in my favor.

Why should they invest any time or resources to analyze anti-virus or firewall settings or upgrade their machines, internet connection if other CRM-Systems work fine.

    Point 3:

They worked quite a while with Dynamics 365, so it can't be a cache thing.

    Hi,

1.) Could it be the network bandwith in your client environment is not good enough?

    - did you ask your client try in different machines?

2.) Client's company policy? such as anti-virus , firewall and etc.

3.) is this the first time your client use CRM?

    - if yes, It might need some time to cache the things. Let's try few more time and see what is happening.
