Issue in extension of Ledger Journal table

I add a new field on table ledgerJournalTable by extension and I tried to fill it using a chain of command to fill it with Value of JournalNum .but the field always return empty although the field of journalNum has value ,AnyHint?

Could you please share your code? It will be easier for us to identify the issue if we know which method you are using for population of the field.
