Rounding unit price, discount amount and sales line amount

Hi,

We need rounding of price and discount to meet customer requirement.

We use call center functionality. Price adjustment are set with discount method = “Discount percentage”. Another retail discount is set also with discount method = “Discount percentage”.

We need to round up the Unit price in Sales order line to the 3rd digit before apply the second discount

We need to round up the Discount amount in Sales order line to the 3rd digit

Customer’s partners round the amount as described above and because they are big hypermarketс, so they don’t accept differences.

Without rounding in D365FO the sales line amount differs from the amount the partners expect as D365FO rounds only the sales line amount (the unit price and discount amount remain with big numbers after decimal point). The difference is bigger for higher sales quantity.

Example:

1. Sales price: 6.58, Price adjustment: 8%; Discount: 36.08%

2. In Sales order line - Unit price: 6.0536 (shown 6.05), Discount amount: 2.184139 (shown 2.18)

3. For sales quantity 1 - Sales line amount: 3.87. For sales quantity 1'000 - Sales line amount: 3'869.46.

We need Sales line amount for 1'000 to be 3'870.00

I have the same question (0)

    HI,

There is field Sales misc charge on the lines which could be used for "rounding" sales line amount to desired

Was a solution to this found? We're having a similar issue where the unit price is four decimal places after the discount is applied but the line shows a rounded value so the sales line amount looks incorrect after the quantity multiplication.
