I have a catalog of approximately 40,000 products in BC which I need to migrate to a new Shopify store. Of this catalogue, Circa 5,500 are 'Parent' products with 'Children' products as variants. I would like to import these into Shopify and mange the data from within BC where possible. Is there anything out of the box that allows me to achieve this or would I need to speak with my BC partner about a custom solution?
Please see below sample of how the data is stored on the item card. I have a type and then parent No. key, followed by the product options and option values.
Ideally I would like to push this data into Shopify to create the Parent/Variant products, with the correct names and values, while managing this data from within BC as a single product database.
