Hello,
I have a customer interested in moving away from their existing accounting system, which is Real World V8.x, in favor of what I think will be one of the Dynamics product offerings.
They have some very specific requirements however for the manner in which they handle pricing for their customers, where it is the case that Real World provides them with a capability to establish customer / product / date specific prices in what Real World refers to as the Contract Price file.
Thus, literally this customer populates a DAILY price for all 365/366 days of their selling season, which runs from 04/01 of each year thru 03/31 of the subsequent year, for each discrete product that a given customer purchases from them throughout the annual selling season.
This is done so that global pricing factor changes can be applied across a given customer or product for a specific future range of time out to the end of the season, typically as a result of sudden or imminent known raw materials cost increases, or decreases, with one of the company's key raw materials being one that is sourced from the petroleum industry, which of course can have sudden and abrupt cost changes at virtually any point in time, which if not factored into their customer's upcoming sales transaction pricing, could completely destroy their desired selling margins.
Could anyone out there then please advise me as to whether this type of extremely granular and date specific customer / product pricing capability might exist within any of the Microsoft Dynamics product suites?
Thank you in advance to anyone that is able to assist and is willing to take the time needed to respond.
