I have registered an account trial with Guides, installed the Authoring app in Win 10, however it continues
to persist with the error that "one needs to sign up"... is this a known issue? any solutions or suggestion on
how to get past this circular reference error?
Hello KerwinK,
You can review below article and see if it helps -

Hi KerwinK
Have you gone through the steps to setup your Guides enviornment as documented here: docs.microsoft.com/.../setup-step-two
Ryan
Ryan,
Thank you this suggestion. I working through the steps to double check that my PowerApps Admin Center environment db is setup correctly. I will post an update here once I confirm if it solves the issue.
Will do... thank you Satish!
Thanks! Let me know the outcome.
If you don't see any guides, either your internet connection is unstable, or you might have signed in to an instance that doesn't have any guides. First, check your internet connection. If you're connected, try to sign in again, and make sure that you sign in to the instance that has the guides that you're looking for. If you still don't see any guides, contact your admin.
Ryan, I am finally getting the chance to circle back on this.
I hit a road block in the setup instructions for setting up a 'Default' environment that creates a new db for Guides: docs.microsoft.com/.../setup-step-two
i.e. in the online instructions [step 3] they mention selecting 'Manage Environment' in order to create a new db... however, I do not have that option in my Power Platform Admin Center:
Any thoughts?
You need to Manage the environment only if you don't have an environment.
I think you're missing the steps to assign roles. So try to continue with this one: docs.microsoft.com/.../assign-role
Hi Kerwin
There have been some changes to the admin UI...our documentation is just being updated.
Here's the new path to install the solution.
Go to the Power Platform admin center and sign in with the user credentials that have admin permissions for Dynamics 365 Guides.
To select the environment, select Resources, and then select Dynamics 365 apps.
Next to Dynamics 365 Guides, select the More application actions (...) button, and then select Install.
In the dialog box that appears, select the environment that you want to upgrade the solution for, select the I agree to the terms of service check box, and then select Install.
Okay. Thank you for getting me sent down the correct path with the new instruction changes in online help, however... I have hit one more roadblock. i.e. I have a new Environment setup in my Power Platform Admin Center (see below):
BUT, when I go to install D365-Guides, it is not showing my Environment? (see below):
Note: One thing I tried... I closed all browsers, logged out of Windows, came back in, but same result.
