How to setup period in Number Sequence?

Can someone explain scope parameters "legal entity and fiscal calendar period" - how to setup? For me it seems as it works as Constant parameter. And I need date or current period of transaction in voucher number. Is it possible at all?

Without development, you should to change manually the sequence constant each years:

For fiscal reason, in Italy we must to change the years reference into the tax book section number.

However, without custom the only way to do that it's to enter manually and change the constant.

You can see it in Organization administration > Number sequences > Segment configuration.

If you want to use existing number sequences that support legal entity and fiscal calendar period scopes, no development is needed.

If you want to add such a support to sequences that currently can't handle that (or to create new sequences), then somebody must develop that.

Thank you, but such solution require small development which is not possible. I thought maybe there is any standard functionality. I think with my previous client it was done customization.
