Dear all

We are preparing a D365 implementation. Our client will transition from AX2009 to D365. We are structuring the Data Quality work stream. And we are looking for tools that help with Data cleansing and specifically:

i) Help analysing all existing master data to identify redundancies. Example: A provider has been created twice, by using his Tax Id and then his merchantil registratio number. Or a client that has been created using two versions of his name (Bill Gates and than William Gates)

ii) Allow us to identify this sort of candidates by applying various rules

iii) We only want to facilitate the identification of these problems, but across all modules.

iv) It can be an xls based solution as well.

Are they going to D365 Finance and Operations, or D365 Business Central?

I have moved your question to the D365 Finance forum, hope you don't mind.

We just used Excel templates from D365 F&O Data Management to do data cleaning at my former job.

I don't recall us having any real process or tools to support us; We just discussed during our data migration workshops how to clean the data; I.e. it's very customer specific.

There are ISV's in the market that can help, like the ones that Staedean provides, but I haven't tried any of those.
