Send Invitation does not generate code and localhost refuse to connect

I'm setting up the 'send invitation' email, but since adding my website URL it displays {Encoded Invitation Code(Encode Invitation Code)}"> in the message.

Email Template:

{EncodedInvitation Code(Encode InvitationCode)}">https://abc.xyz.com/register/?returnurl=%2f&invitation={EncodedInvitation Code(Encode Invitation Code)}

Email Received:

{Encoded Invitation Code(Encode Invitation Code)}">https://abc.xyz.com/register/?returnurl=%2f&invitation=PvkhW2lZkAaGTS6po0tLBWwYAS50byDRyubCeuN7HAKsbjAD-DyK6-YaORl2rw4gV1X047FIeHnU-5uOxhwlikJ1Y-3DKIbIjm2McAeaBh8PPukzqlfFgXPd-t110LZQcPZbWu7RwrokDdW2K7RTlwlcfLA7V26B0hnXx2ETmVE-

I don't have any spaces and can't see a difference to the first code vs the last one that is working. Any ideas?

Sorry the title should just read 'refuse to connect to local host' due to additional code displaying in the email. The code is generating fine now
