Batch disposition codes : Filter batches based on warehouse (or site) and link the batch disposition codes to it

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to filters the batches based on site and warehouse and link a batch disposition codes to it?

I can think of providing an option link the batch disposition code from the on-hand inventory screen, where we already have an option filter batches based on site and warehouse but just wanted to check if we have this option working out of the box.

On batches form we can link the batch disposition code to set of batches but we do not have an option to filter on warehouse or site.

Any other ideas to achieve this easily are also welcome?

Regards

-Rahul

Are you asking about filtering the On-hand inquiry?

If you set the Dimensions display to show Site/Warehouse/Batch, and then used the Advanced Filter, you can do this:

I agree that adding the Batch disposition code field on the On-hand inquiry is neater for the users, but this is a code modification (I think).

Requirement is to filter the batches from a specific site and warehouse and link a specific disposition code to it. I think customizing the on-hand inquiry form to provide an option to link batch disposition code (to a set of filtered batches) seems to be easiest and better option.

Don't customize the InventSum form, it will give you headaches.  Have your users go to Inventory Mgmt-Inquires-Batches.  Look at Shelf life, shelf advice and best before as of date forms.  Have the user set the date at the top of the form really far in the future and you should get what you're looking for.

Thanks for the pointer. Really appreciated.

There is an utility in the periodic menu (under inventory management) to update the batch disposition code. On the same form, I added the inventory dimension table and linked it to batches table and I was able to update the batch disposition code for a particular item/warehouse combination.
