Cant restore production backup to sandbox

Hi i am trying restore a backup from yesterday to a sanbox but when doing so i have no enviroments to overwrite and no valid targets?

    Hi,

    Don't see your environment to restore to?

    Only sandbox environments can be restored to.

    Double check to make sure your environment is of type sandbox.

    Thank you for your response. i have checked and the enviroment i am trying to restore to is a sandbox enviroment

    Any other ideas?

    UPDATE: i have managed to fix this, when creating the sandbox enviroment to restore to you must click the option create a database for this enviroment
