Hi, How do I access the Social Listening data with Power BI?
Thanks Craig
Hi, any takers here?
Social Listening does not have a built-in oData feed, which is the way Power BI interacts with data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. There are alternative methods to downloading the data, from manually exporting the search results (Analytics > Posts > Select All > Export) to setting up a Website link in Power Query (http://www.powerpivotblog.nl/getting-data-into-power-query-with-the-twitter-search-api-how-to-hack-pq-to-use-oauth/).
Hi Craig, i wondered if you already managed to link Social Engagement with Power BI.
I wish ti use the data from Social Engagement over Power BI.
Hi,
I have got this working and its not too bad as long as you get your query right, once that's done the data is available in PowerBI to use as you want.

Microsoft Social Engagement has now a Power Bi Content pack
Get Data > Services > Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Social Engagement
www.microsoft.com/.../get-the-microsoft-social-engagement-content-pack-for-power-bi.aspx
The Power BI package is connected, but in the Power BI data is not showing. Tiles are mostly empty, though it showed only the number of posts. The user's account isgranted with full access privilegies and app id is correct. Can you help me with it?
The content pack focus is user engagement, all exposed data is for actions that users take in the Social Engagement application - assigning, labeling, replying etc. The report is for those actions and their associated posts. PBI is not alternative client to see all of Microsoft Social Engagement data. Can you clarify your Social Engagement solution situation and what you expect to see in the report?
Well, I followed this instruction but the Power BI Dashboard (or anything else) shows nothing nor there are more than 5000 post within the imported timeframe.

Like I wrote, this report is for interactions, not raw posts. Having 5000 posts does not mean you have a single interaction on them - e.g. assign to, label, reply, retweet, like, ...
Please confirm you've got interactions.
