Qualify a Lead by clicking on the "Next Stage" in Qualify stage

I learnt that it is NOT possible to use the "Next Stage" button to achieve the same behaviour as the "Qualify" button on the upper ribbon.

I followed the answer in the above post link to create an "on-demand" workflow and set it as an additional Action Step in the flow. However, it simply change the status to Qualified without doing other things like the "Qualify" button - i.e. create a contact, create an account, etc.

Is there any good workaround?

Then choose the qualify lead action:
