Is it possible to create transactional documents such as raising POs for different legal entities by a single user (who has the appropriate access to the entities) without switching LE in the top right of the page. Also for things like Inquiries and Reports. It is a client requirement, the reason being to avoid entry errors by forgetting to change entity and also to make the process more streamlined. Similar to the centralised payments feature.
Thanks
Thank you Alireza
Hi EUH,
Yes. I mean for reporting purpose. When it comes to the import, it depends on the table. Since some of tables can be updated across companies via Excel add-inn.
Thank you Alex,
How would this work in practice, will all entities be available at the same time, for example for PO entry? Or will there still be need for some switching?
Thank you Alireza, is this just for reporting purposes? Can transactions also be entered in different entities using this method?
It is classified as out of the box.
As example if you use BYOD, you can try to create a shared entity against desired table where you can export data from all legal entities via exporting data on data management. Then you can export this entity to your Azure SQLDB.
Hi,
I think it is not available out of box but customization from X++ may work. You can try to extend the action that you want to do and use changecompany() function to silently change the company.
