Additional data feilds in the AssetTrans Table

Hi,

We have a report setup on Power BI to bring back Fixed Asset Transactions, this looks at the AssetTrans Table.

In the last week 2 new data fields have been added to the AssetTrans table exported from D365 F&O, this has resulted in issues with the report. The additional data fields added are:

"PERIODFROMDATE"
"PERIODTODATE"

But I cant see these data fields in the Asset Transaction Form on D365 - My question is what is triggering these changes to the AssetTrans Table, I have checked there was nothing in patch update or quality update.

Also how can we keep track of changes to tables?

Any help will be appreicated

Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand you issue correctly, but you use this table through Power BI, do you connect to power BI using data entity? also, when you said you don't see the fields data on Form, do you mean the fields aren't filled? or have not appeared on the form?

Hi,

Sorry my post was a bit confusing.

Yes we use this table through Power BI & we connect via data entity.

The problem is 2 weeks ago it had 48 data fields, but it now has 50 data fields ("PERIODFROMDATE" "PERIODTODATE") I wanted to know what triggered this additional fields to appear?

Hi,

Can you tell how you export the Asset transactions to Power BI? Are you using Export to Data Lake, BYOD, Synapse Link, Fabric link? Do you then export the table directly or details via a data entity?

Hi,

You said after adding those fields, you started having issues with the report, may i know what the issues are? Or do you mean thay u don't want these fields to appear in the report?
