Tablets/Handhelds for Dynamics NAV

Greetings,

Are there any specific tablets/handheld devices that work well with NAV 2015 - 2016 for barcode scanning and wireless data entry? This is for one of our customers so they can scan barcodes and enter data through the tablet/handheld during logistics & manufacturing processes.
The size & rendering of their current handheld device is very restrictive. The interface and usability seems much better on a Surface or iPhone using the NAV Tablet/phone client. But we are concerned about barcode scanning capabilities of a tablet such as ipad or Surface. Any input/guidance would be much appreciated.

    additional check out nav mobile apps with included barcode scan feature.

    for the Microsoft Dynamics Nav Tablet client you'll need a customization for that issue.

    Everything depends what you really need. You can use Universal Apps in some of the Phone or Tabled devices, but you can also make your own app based on webservices for barcode scanning and e.g. warehouse requirements. In can be based on these or older NAV versions, as well.
