Hi sanme98, In the purchase Requisition line there is a button "details". Please open that one and in the details tab of that form you should be able to insert your sales tax Information. All the best, Ludwg

    Hi Ludwig,

I already in that screen, but the Sales tax group is dim. The customer got workflow, is it need to go through wf first?

    Thank you.

Hi sanme98, if the sales tax group is not editable for you then you might have a rights issue. Please verify the role and access rights you have. To my knowledge the workflows is not a must but an optional feature. Hope it helps, Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Do I need a vendor before can set the Sales Tax Group? I'm now off from my company, will check tomorrow. Thanks.

    Hi Sanme98,

The sales tax group setup does not depend on the setup of vendors and vice versa. Yet, best practice is to setup default sales tax groups at the vendor / vendor address level.

If you check your process tomorrow, please also have a look at the current state of your workflow process as you cannot edit the sales tax group in every state and might have to recall your current workflow process before you are able to edit the sales tax group.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

    Hello Ludwig/Sanme98

i am having the same issues. we have sales tax set up but we dont have it set up on the vendor. I have created a PR and i have attempted to add the sales tax group but it is greyed out. I havent submitted the PR to workflow so it is still in draft mode.

is different from the one you posted previously

Is it possible that you document all of the steps that you have taken for setting up and processing the PR so far?

Maybe you can create multiple screenshots or a short video that you upload.

But please stick with a simple example and do not switch or change it.

Otherwise it will be difficult helping you finding a solution for the problem.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

Thank you for your quick response.

A little back ground - We are implementing the inventory module and product module for the first time. so that means we have items now. In the past, we will create our PR using procurement categories. Since we have introduced items and the need to purchase items, there is still need to do a PR using procurement categories.

I have found out that when i use procurement categories on a PR, i am able to select sales tax but when i have an item on my PR i am unable to select a sales tax. FYI i have not added sales tax to a vendor ( this is not a setup we want to do).

On the line details of the PR under fast tab details, i noticed that the sales tax group field is grayed out.

Also on the line details of the PR under the project fast tab, i see that i am able to select sales tax group. i don't need this since the PR is not tied to a project. For testing purpose, i added sales tax to the under the project fast tab and it did not populate to the PO when i released the PR. PR-details-tab.pngPR-details-tab.png
