Our users just discovered that when trying to download an attachement from a tracked email, the resulting file can't be open.
After looking at it, I realized that the file is renamed by Dynamics like this :
myfile.png becomes 'myfile.png'
The last apostrophe is what triggers the problem since softwares can't recognize that weird new file extension " .png' ".
Some softwares like adobe reader go through it and handle it well. " .pdf' " are readable by Adobe reader.
Yet the problem is mostly for office products.
.msg' .docx' .png' and so on...
Renaming the file to the proper extension works ! However, forcing the software to open the wrong extension in a fail.
Is there any way to disable that behaviour from Dynamics ? Can we prevent it somehow to add those extra characters in the file name when downloading ?
We use Dynamics 365 on premise.
