Hi Partner,
The trial version would only be V9.0 latest version according to your region.
Trial Instance will not cost any storage in your Org Service Health. If your want , you could delete it from Instance Management as above suggested.

I haven't tried this yet but you may be able to reconfigure the trial instance again.

You can create trial versions for demo purpose or learning purpose. There’s not limit as such. It will anyway expires after 30 days.
You need not to delete/remove them, MS cleanup job will take care of that.
